Un lien entre l\u2019art et le monde v\u00e9g\u00e9tal<\/strong><\/h4>\n

L\u2019association Nuage Vert organise, \u00e0 Argentat-sur-Dordogne, le festival Histoires de Passages<\/i> sur le th\u00e8me de La vie v\u00e9g\u00e9tale<\/i>. Dans le cadre de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, Romain Froquet r\u00e9alise, au sein de la chapelle Jeanne d\u2019Arc, une installation compos\u00e9e par ses toiles v\u00e9g\u00e9tales et intitul\u00e9e \u00ab For\u00eat de signes \u00bb. Lien entre le ciel et la terre, l\u2019arbre incarne le besoin perp\u00e9tuel \u00e9prouv\u00e9 par l\u2019homme de s\u2019enraciner. Il est pr\u00e9sent dans le travail de Romain Froquet, d\u00e8s ses d\u00e9buts, avec son projet Urban tree.<\/p>\n

L\u2019artiste s\u2019est attaqu\u00e9 \u00e0 son \u0153uvre d\u00e8s la fin du printemps, alors que la s\u00e8ve est au plus haut. Dans la for\u00eat situ\u00e9e en face de son atelier, en Corr\u00e8ze, il a pr\u00e9lev\u00e9 des branches de noisetier et de ch\u00e2taignier. Utiliser un mat\u00e9riau disponible dans son environnement imm\u00e9diat lui permet de lier son histoire personnelle \u00e0 sa recherche esth\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n

Pr\u00e9parer le bois et lui donner une courbure en tenant compte de la tension naturelle de la mati\u00e8re brute, a \u00e9t\u00e9 un d\u00e9fi pour Romain Froquet. Il s\u2019est appliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver un \u00e9quilibre afin que la ligne qu\u2019il reconstitue dans l\u2019espace incarne la fluidit\u00e9 de son geste et de son mouvement peint.<\/p>\n

Avec cette installation, le spectateur peut d\u00e9cider d\u2019int\u00e9grer l\u2019espace occup\u00e9 par l\u2019\u0153uvre ou de l\u2019affronter. En proc\u00e9dant ainsi, il d\u00e9couvre le jeu de superposition et de transparence propos\u00e9 par l\u2019artiste. Les lignes viennent ici d\u00e9construire l\u2019espace, elles trompent notre perspective et recr\u00e9ent un portail tridimensionnel nous connectant \u00e0 la terre.<\/p>\n

Cette connexion se perd parfois au milieu des flux qui nous entourent et cette proposition \u00e9pur\u00e9e nous rappelle que l\u2019un n\u2019existe pas sans l\u2019autre.<\/p>\n
